This unique benchmark provides insights into risk taxonomies and key risk indicators (KRIs) in the resources sector. The objective of this report is to provide risk leaders in the sector with a list of ideas for relevant KRIs, alongside practitioner insights into taxonomy and KRI implementation.

This resource uses two main sources of data: in-depth interviews with five risk leaders in the resources sector (or at representative companies) and information from our KRI library.

Who has taken part in the benchmark?

CROs/heads of risk at 5 large resource sector institutions. We hand-selected the participants to ensure the report benchmarks relevant peers only.

How was the data collected?

5 hand selected risk leaders took part in an in-depth survey with a series of open and closed questions. We also extracted data from our own KRI library for this benchmark.

Why did you create this benchmark?

We developed this benchmark to support a Risk Leadership Network from an organisations in the resources sector who needed to benchmark their risk taxonomy and KRIs against sector peers.

Can Risk Leadership Network carry out a benchmark for me?

Yes. Members of Risk Leadership Network work with a network manager to make sure we meet your risk priorities. If there's an informal benchmark that would assist you in your priorities, we'll create it for you in a timely manner. Most benchmarks are complete within 8 weeks of request.
